Good documentary. This is about one man's personal exploration to find his past, and it is also a discovery of a little-known concentration camp under the Khmer Rouge, called “Camp 32”. Through his family members' stories and trauma, we can learn about the life in the camp very realistically.
We had a chance to talk with Mr. Hom Chhorn, who was 6 years old when he was imprisoned in Camp 32, and was a co-producer of this film. ”I suffer from the trauma. I have ups and downs. After I talk about my memory, I feel better. After showing my film, I feel better. Talking with the audience after showing the film makes me feel better." “I want to be a vaccine for humanity through making films. It may not work for this generation, but it may work for the next generation.”
